LEARNING SUPPORT
The class teachers observe each child individually and check that progress is on track for the whole year.
If the student needs any specific support, the class teacher liaises with our Learning Support Team. The Learning Support Team observes the student during classes, lunch and play times to be able to have a clear picture of the child in different situations. These observations are then shared with the parents and the necessary guidance is given.
The BISI Learning Support Department provides support for students experiencing Special Needs in accordance with the school’s philosophy and goals. The department is responsible for the provision of intervention and progress review of students referred for Learning Support.
The Learning Support Department staff work collaboratively with mainstream teachers, parents, administrators, as well as with the ESL department, external Educational Psychologists, Speech Therapists and other professionals.
